I spilled all-free beer accidentally over the keyboard of my macbook pro mid 2014. Although i cleaned up immediately some keys are not ok. How can i clean the keyboard?
Carefully lift the keycaps following this guide: Keycap Removal & Fitting. Then using a cotton swap dampened with some distilled water (not tap!) wipe down the inside areas as well as the scissor mech (you can take them out and soak them in a bowl). Hopefully that does it. If not you’ll need to completely disassemble your system to get to the keyboard from the other side. Apple only sells the complete upper case but you can find keyboards for sale but I’ll warn you it’s a big job!
