If my phone is near the speaker, the speaker works great. Once I take my phone and walk away from the speak (e.g. to the kitchen while my speaker is in my room), the music stopped .

If you have a cover on your speaker, take the cover off. Check the NFC setting on your phone is on or enabled. Depending on the Sony device, the NFC sensor may not detect and the one touch connection may not work.
