Solved Sound Works Through Headphones Only When On Calls Iphone 5S

When I try to listen to music or watch a youtube video, there’s no media sound through the headphones. There’s only sound through the headphones when making calls so I know they work. If I start a youtube video without headphones plugged in the video plays fine but when I plug in my headphones there’s no sound and the video screen goes black. Thanks for your help in advance!
