Tv has full power, shows Hitachi logo on power up, has sound and picture for a few minutes. Then screen goes black, sound remains, when a flashlight is used images can be faintly seen on the screen.
Can you believe, I turned the brightness down and so far…. No issue at all!!! Im confused by that… But hey.. Saved me pulling my tv apart!! Thanks for the instant reply and advice… I will recommend your website to all my friends and colleagues.
@sonson07 we need to know what make and model your TV is. You are losing the backlight. This can be a problem with the power supply, an inverter board or the backlight array itself. Remove the back of your set and look at all the boards. Check for obvious damage like leaking, domed capacitors etc. Post some images of your boards with your question, that way we can see what you see.
