I have a Sony XBR-55X930D TV not turning on. I took it to technician and he said it’s a power supply issue and this particular model does not have power board. It takes 24V adapter. Sony is not willing to fix it because it is a refurbished model. Any solution?
m.afzal209 the board where your power supply plugs into is still considered a power supply. Going by your brief description it is absolutely possible that this is the board that has failed. Get a multimeter and measure the voltages on your board.
I’m working on a similar problem with the same model. At first it would not power on. Changed the DSP board (board in the center). Got power, sort of, the LED on the bottom of the screen turned on (white) then started blinking red four time in cycle. What should I try next? Someone mentioned the LED backlight driver board.
