I have a hardly used Sony CDP XA-5es that does not read CD. It will load, spin and then stop. A tech thought it could be the laser lens issue. Could anyone please help. Thanks, Rob

Be patient, as it takes a little while to find the file. In it there is information on how to disassemble the player, circuit diagrams and the parts list. Unfortunately that is all I can offer now as the player will need to be opened and the problem diagnosed as to what the fault may be. Contact a reputable, professional audio electronics repair service and ask for a quote. At least you can offer a link to the service manual if they say they don’t normally repair your model Good luck with the repair.
