I was gifted this TV because it has the 6 blink problem but I was told it also had a slight contrast difference on one third of the display. I’m just wondering if replacing the board (A206695 1C) would fix these problems or is there some other things I should check? I’ll also note that when I turn on the display with the back panel off the back light does seem fairly even through the few cutouts for the couple of seconds that it is on.
Curtis Finch the 6 blink code is a backlight error and most commonly related to a bad B-Board (main board) which is the board you are referring to. Your TV appears to also use a backlight inverter which is part number Sony 1-866-359-14 (H041801186 E14)which would be my prime suspect if it were not for the contrast issue.
