Hi, my Sony Bravia TV has been having this 6 LED blink problem. It flashes on with the Sony logo initially and turns off. When I try turning it on again, the stand by light turns white and then flashes red 6 times continuously. I’ve tried searching online and tried a lot of the fixes without any luck. I initially had a technician look at it and test the power board, which he said was fine. He then said it was most likely to do with the LED back lighting. I’ve taken the TV apart and found a strip with a single dead LED, and replaced the strip with a new one. As far as I’m aware, all the LEDs are now working (each was testing individually to see if it lit up). I put the TV back together and got the 6 blinking red lights again. At this point I’m wondering if it still could be a back lighting problem, but I doubt it. So if the power board is fine and the LED’s are fine, I’m struggling to think of what else it could be. I tried the other checks such as factory resetting with the remote control (holding up arrow and powering on), and testing the BL_ERR_DET pin on the board (as per service manual from https://www.manualslib.com/manual/137892…) which gave me roughly 2.3V. Does anyone have any possible suggestions for what I can try next? Thanks.

Fixed it by reopening the TV again and checking the connections to the LED strips. One of the wires had come loose and wasn’t making proper contact with the pin. Easiest way to check this problem is to test the LED backlighting once the TV is disassembled to visually see all the LED strips light up.
