I have a mac mini 2012, two of the USB ports do not work, the other 2 USB ports are perfect. How can I fix the issue to use all 4 USB ports?
@tom5 - What likely happened was you used the wrong power bricks for one of your USB devices so you burnt the ports fuse link. To prove this get a powered USB hub and plug it into one of the non-functioning ports and then plug in a passive USB device (i.e. thumb drive) if that works you’ll need to get your system to someone who can do the micro-soldering and has the replacement SMT fuse link. Of course you still have a problem! You’ll want to label each of the power bricks so you know which one goes with which device so you don’t damage any other ports.
