Chosen Solution
My ipad 5th generation wasn’t charging. So I read about soldering on another flex cable. The problem is before I read the instructions I ripped off the old flex cable. Now on the logic board there are no ribbons to solder on the new cable. Is it time to retire the logic board or is there a way I can revive it.
You need to follow the traces and solder jumpers. It takes a lot of skill. If you don’t know how to microsolder I would recommend taking it to a repair shop.
