My Mac that i bought was refurbished it doesn’t have some apps and has others apps. i tried to update it but it wont let me. it wont let me download anything i was wondering if i needed someone who knows how to put a disk in it and restart it back to its normal apple settings?

If you have compatible OS X installer disk for your computer, power on the Macbook, hold down ALT(option) key until you see the available partitions, then insert the disk and choose it.
