Chosen Solution

My camera and calendar were not working. I did a factory reset. When it comes back up it and I try to type something it shows a microphone but no keyboard. With the keyboard missing I can’t do anything such as getting on the Internet or logging in to Google. So I can’t install a keyboard. Catch 22. Any Ideas?

When I factory reset my tablet (Android) the keyboard ended up missing. Since the keyboard was missing I couldn’t access Google Play Store Apps because I didn’t have the ability to sign in to Google. I eventually solved this by copying a keyboard app thru Bluetooth from another tablet.

Hi There, Install the app Gboard from the Playstore and then try again. The option to select Gboard becommes available and the the onscreen keyboard appears. Regards Harm.

Hi, Go to Settings > Language and Input methods > disable Google Voice typing and enable Google Keyboard

Enable Gboard in settings
