So I have a Mercedes Benz 1999 c-230 so this only happens sometimes I can drive and my rpms going high and pull over and turn off the car and start it back up and drive and it’s fine but when the rpms go up i can go 60mph and the rpms would be at 4000 going to almost 5000 and if I go more than 60 mph it would get to 6000 to 7000 but normally when it drives fine the rpms would be at 4000 and I can be going 70 mph
Hi there! If you have an automatic transmission start with checking its fluid level and quality of the oil and if the oil is low then you should NOT drive the car and change the oil before you damage your automatic transmission. I hope this helps and if this is the case! :)
Sounds like it is not shifting into the higher gear.
