Can we simply replace the home button module with the new sensor module or are the LCD and digitizer connectors different?
If you are thinking you can replace the unit to gain the fingerprint detector the answer is No. As far as the LCD its’ self its the same screen per the specs as the iPhone 5 but likely has a different ribbon cable layout per the leaked pics we so far have seen. You’ll need to wait for the IFIXIT teardown to see what they find. So why would you do this if you don’t need a new screen? Besides the iPhone 5s parts won’t be available for quite sometime. No no no you can’t interchange the screens connectors are different brackets around screen are different..
yes you can because you can put iphone 5s home button onto iphone 5 screen because the home button size are the same

i have this problem but my iPhone 5 screen has cracked and i need a scene but the iPhone 5s screens are cheaper so can i put a 5s screen on my 5
The actual glass yes but not the complete imbolizer itself just the glass but that’s a mission to do, U can change the iPhone 5s to fit the iPhone 5 screen glass only but not the connectors as far as the digital display Home buttons are not changeable to iPhone 5s/c models But to iPhone 5 basic models only But yea that is a mission to take care of and is very very hard most likly u will crack the glass in when u take off the glue and digitizer so not worth it at all, Any mall or store now will do this job for only 40-70 dollars at most with the correct glass and digitizer inatalled while u wait for it, Good luck as I also tried myself and a no go just almost broke both of my phones John
