Chosen Solution
Repair went smoothly and everything works fine except the smart lock/unlock. The lock/unlock setting is turned on . To the best of my knowledge the hall effect sensor is on the home button flex. This digitizer came with the home button installed. Is there anything other than a bad/damaged home button that would cause this?
I am an idiot. Talked to customer. The cheap cover they had on their ipad did not have the “smart” feature. Disregard.
