Hello, i have an iphone 6s waterdamaged that is shorted to ground, it is not a full short, just 8mA when checked with the power supply, and when the phone is on an screen turned off it takes around 250-300 mA .Obviously i cant find the short with heat because it is too small. Do you have any ideas? Thank you!

I think you are missing an important concept here…a short is a short but not all shorts have the same outcome. Just because a “phone is short” doesn’t mean it will be generating a ton of heat and drawing full power. First of all, it would help if you told us which line is shorted and what resistance you are measuring. If it is one of the main power lines (VCC_MAIN, BATT_VCC or PP5V0_USB), then yes, you should expect to see a heat signature. If the short is on a secondary voltage rail (generated by the PMIC or BBPMU), then sometimes the short gets lost in the weeds of everything else semi-working.
