My phone got a little wet and the screen would not slide after to unlock the phone with pass code so I can not back up my phone as the screen will not slide to put pass code in. Phone will power up when plugged into power cable, but home button and power button do not work. Phone will ring and vibrate button works, but just no slide. My phone buddy said that there is a carosian problem on the part of the board were digitizer plugs in. I just want to get passed the password part so that I can do a back up on the phone. Any ideas of how to do this?
Hi, You will need to open the phone up and clean any corrosion that is visible with a toothbrush and 99.9% isopropyl alcohol, this is a DIY route and should hopefully get it working again for you to get your data off. There are plenty of disassembly guides on YouTube and ifixit. :-)
