Hi all I have changed many many screens over the past years but this ones got me in relation to siri not working correctly, ok iphone 5 screen replacement (easy) however upon checking all is working (cameras, touchscreen response, mics etc ) siri dose not want to play ball, as soon as I fit the screen in place siri stops picking up voice, but if I lift the front of the screen partially away from the back casing at about 30 degrees angle or more it picks up voice again, I have replaced the ribbon cable in relation to front mic/camera ribbon with several others and restored and updated but still the same, has anyone got some idea as to what is causing this unusual issue.
Try checking the connector on the logic board with some magnification and a good light source, it might be some pin got damaged and out of place one way or the other. You can gently verify with tweezer all pins are anchored to the board correctly. If you already replaced various flat cable assemblies the problem is quite likely somewhere on the board.
