Yes, should be replaced using micro soldering tools. It’s not a difficult repair per se. However, it is surrounded by very delicate components that would render the phone useless if they’re damaged, such as (but not limited to) the CPU itself which is susceptible to heat, or a glass IC right next to it susceptible to the lightest crack. Good luck fixing that.
