If I don’t tighten this screw all the way, would that prevent the SIM card from being read? I fixed the charging issue but now my phone says no SIM card installed. I’m not sure what to troubleshoot first.
Your link points to Step 28 of the guide and there is no screw mentioned. You may want to update that so that we can understand which screw you are talking about. As for the SIM card, there is a “switch” built into the SIM Reader that allows the SIM card to be detected.
It’s possible that it was damaged or something is impeding it. You should check the SIM reader to see if everything looks good.
