Hi, i dropped my phone (Samsung galaxy note 5) this morning, now it’s not working, i got it checked and the technician guy suggested that it needs replacement of mother board. and it will cost me around 17k. i want to ask is it wise to get it repaired or should i sell the phone. the phone has been with me for almost years it has worked perfectly. i want to keep it but i am not sure whether it will work fine after replacement or not ? regards, Update (12/14/2018) Thank you for responding. Pakistani Rupee 17 thousand, . The moment it fell down, the screen went black, on pressing the power and volume button there was a flicker on the left side of the screen. Blue light is constantly on since then. as far as the functioning is concerned the phone was working perfectly not even a single problem in past two years.
Flickering and blue light after a drop would also be coherent with a faulty screen. The price you mention should be around 100$ and that, despite being in Pakistan and considering Samsung screen prices, sounds like a reasonable cost for parts and labour. If you’re happy with your current phone and not planning an upgrade getting it fixed doesn’t sound like a bad idea..just make sure the fix carries some kind of guarantee.
