I have a Gameboy Advance SP of the model AGS 001, but want a better screen. Should I attempt to do this? Does replacing the ribbon have any other effects? Should I just buy a new Gameboy Advance SP that has a brighter screen?
Is the screen too dim, I would not recommend to get new one or to get the display replaced
The ribbon connectors are different between the two models, if you want to replace the screen, you’re going to have to get a pesky adapter that is really hard to fit into the shell. I recommend just getting the 101 model, it’s a lot easier and if you find the right place you can get it for under $40. Hope this was helpful.
