Simple question, should I actually replace my MBP 2012 battery? It’s a lovely little machine I got used off eBay yesterday, and the battery has around 730 cycles, yet it has 90% health? I read on the iFixit forum that 700 cycles is when the lifetime of an MacBook battery ends, yet mine’s on 90% health, which contradicts the statement from the iFixit forum. So what do you all think? Is it worth it, or is the battery a keeper for now? :) PS: The battery’s original.
Different usage patterns will wear the battery differently! So its getting close! I would try not to run down the battery as you have here with less than 20% is harder on the battery.
