Chosen Solution

Hello. Following the instructions here on Ifixit, I replaced the DC in board. I put all the parts back in place, made the connections and finally connected the power. I forgot to turn down a flap at the fan connection, also forgot about the power and caused a short with a tweezers. I replaced this part successfully back in 2017. The Mac is now dead, does not turn on. How severe is the damage? Thanks

Please post a photo of the area you shorted out. It’s most likely repairable by a professional with micro soldering skills and the diagnostic skills to do so. Also a good microscope and electrical diagram. Right off the bat I’d recommend Minho @refectio https://www.ifixit.com/Business/10741/Re… or Louis Rossman, https://store.rossmanngroup.com
