I have iphone 8 shorted 0.8 amps no sing of heat no sing of damage device was full shorted on VDD main used short killer to remove the short device is ON now and getting 0.8 amps short on VDD main NO USB AND CHARGER can any one have any idea ??
Using a “Short Killer” is not a silver bullet. If you don’t know what your doing, you can cause more damage to the board then classical short hunting. All the short killer does is pass a very high current, hopefully set at a low voltage so that it doesn’t damage IC’s by activating them, to essentially fully burn through the shorted component. IMHO, this is the tool of last chance because you can easily destroy a board if you are using it blindly and without fully understanding what it does. I’m saying this in a general sense, not to you in particular, because the risk of this new tool is a bunch of dead boards.
