Hi again I’m really stuck with this one I have replaced Tigris Ic mosfet ic tristar ic I’m unsure if it’s fixed the shutdown issue yet but in addition to that I have released its going through power like nothing one hour YouTube video used about 30% so I looked at big pmic and found caps c2016 c2013 c2017 c2020 c2014 c2015 c2019 and c2021 all to be shorted can anyone help with this issue as I’m sick all I can think of it replace the pmic and no sines of water damage or corrosion gave it a ultrasonic bath
Those caps are on the PP_GPU line and it is a very low resistance line, typically in the 10-20 Ohm range. Most meters will “beep” when set to continuity mode with that kind of resistance. So unless you are measuring <1 Ohm, I would say the readings are normal. You don’t really say what the original issue/problem was so I will just say that if you have fast battery drain, try a known-good battery first and then remove all peripherals and test them individually. If the drain occurs even with just the logic board (with a known-good battery and Lightning port), then you need to measure all of the PMIC & BB PMU lines.
