Chosen Solution
Is there a solution yet for the service message on the iPhone XS Max? I replaced a battery with a new one after copying the serial number. 3Utools says the battery is “original” but it still shows the service message in the menu. From what I have read the only solution is that I need an original Apple Battery with the TI chip, copy info with JC Pro, WL, iCopy, etc and then it will be fine. Am I correct or that won’t work either?
That will not work. The only way is to transfer the original Ti chip from the original battery to the replacement battery plus the serial number. I know one person that is doing this as he refurbishes iPhones. He has also told me it doesn’t work all the time.
I just got my iPhone battery replaced at iservice. I was informed that it is a genuine Apple battery but I got the message on my phone, Unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine Apple battery, Health information not available for this battery. At iservice I was told that it will take a few days for Apple to recognize the new battery and that it will register automatically and that the message will disappear. Fingers crossed, I just got the battery replaced yesterday
