So, I went thru this very detailed (excellent video) on iphone 6s screen replacement and did nearly everything right - almost. Somehow a screw got left in the phone and I closed it up. Then I noticed the right lower corner near home button isn’t flush with the body. So I opened it up again the next day, and found a heat shield screw standing vertically on it’s head on the battery. It left a visible head imprint on the battery cover, but other than that the battery seems intact, no cracks, no tears, no exposed metal. My question is, is it safe to continue using the phone, especially with the the little gap in the phone body? Can I just put a drop of epoxy on the battery cover to make sure it’s intact? Can I fix the LCD cover not aligning? I imagine, the screw must have caused some warp, because I can’t imagine that much space between the battery and the heat shield. Thank you very much!

This is what I call a seriously bent iPhone..believe it or not, the original screen just reported a minor blemish to the lcd but fitted perfectly into a replacement housing.

You should be OK leaving things as they are if you do take into consideration that this phone will not be water resistant anymore. I wouldn’t put any epoxy in the gap because that epoxy will give you troubles if you ever need to open up your phone again.
