Hi DIYers and iFixit,
unfortunately I had to replace my already replaced screen due to a digitizer failure.
Ordered the full assembly with aftermarket LCD from ifixit EU and Im a little disappointed of the color quality of it.
On white screens like the settings screen it is more yellowish than white. I have two additional iPhone 6 with never replaced OEM display in it to compare them and the difference is enormous. The OEM displays have its cool white color as it should be.
Originally I wanted to order an OEM display at ifixit.com because I know the lack of color quality of aftermarkets, but it cant be shipped, by what so ever reason, to Austria. Please iFixit make OEM LCDs available to europe.
Id like to pay a little more to get the original quality.
Additionally to this "issue" my ambient light sensor (ALS) doesnt work. When buying a full assembly I usually dont want to replace any preinstalled parts by myself because they dont work from the beginning on. I want thet they work. Luckily Ive kept the original display assembly so i can replace the faulty ALS with the original one, but it shouldnt happen to a NEW full assembly.
As I saw here in the answers section, Im not the only one who have issues with the ALS after replacing the full assembly. So the quality should be improved of the assembly, parts or both.
For all following repairs of all you DIYers keep the original parts!!
Im doing the ALS replacement as soon as possible and keep you informed.
