Chosen Solution

Hi, I received the OLED screen and battery replacement for my iPhoneX. After replacement of both, the phone powers on and displays the initial setup of the phone correctly, but the screen is completely unresponsive to touch. I am forced to unplug the battery for the phone to power off. Thanks for your support

First thing I would do is check the flex cable for touch and reseat it, assuming you haven’t done this already. Next I would look to make certain it is not damaged in any way. Both of the image and touch cables can get pinched when closing the display, although image is more likely to be damaged this way since it lays over the touch cable where the display closes. But I have also see the touch cable get torn inadvertently, especially close to the display or get pinched in the cowling in a way such that the cable stops functioning. If that doesn’t seem to be the case and you bought it from iFixit, get in touch with the customer support team!
