My iPhone Xs is 1.5 years old. I was using it inside a pool and it suffered a few strong splashes. It was working fine but as soon as I noticed the selfi-cam turn foggy, I went to dry it. Around 20 mins later the screen turned off though the phone was on (I could see the IR sensor light and was able to turn on the flash-light. Though face-Id did not work as my phone would vibrate like when it scans the wrong face). I have put it in rice and selfi-cam is no longer foggy. But the phone is not turning on (it maybe that it’s out of juice). Please help.

Putting it in rice won’t do anything, it’s a myth. The only thing rice will do is get stuck in your charging port. DON’T CHARGE IT. You need to open the phone and dry it out. Disconnect the battery. You will most likely need to replace the screen. You may have to take out the motherboard and remove the covers and dry out the motherboard and clean it with a qtip and alcohol. I would recommend taking it to a repair shop as soon as possible. The longer it’s connected to power and wet the more it will corrode.
