Just replaced digitizer on iPad Air. Everything worked at first. 20 min later, random places on screen were being activated without being touched. Then a few minutes later the home button stopped working. Not sure what it could be. I took it back apart and checked connections, now the screen and home button are unresponsive. Any suggestions? I think it is a defective digitizer but I could be wrong.
The most likely cause of your problem is a damaged or defective digitizer. You can inspect the flex cables on the digi to see if there are any tears. Also look at the connectors, both on the flex and on the logic board to see if any pins are damaged. Contact your vendor or supplier if there is no damage to see if you can get a replacement or refund.
