I don’t know if I can try to replace the ribbon cables on my phones screen instead of replacing the whole screen? It’s not cracked and home button is fine but cannot get it to work properly after re assembly. I’m guessing that the ribbons were damaged when I took it apart but they look fine. Thank you for any information that can be provided.
Unfortunately it seems you’ve damaged the LCD underneath the glass when you were trying to take the screen off. You were prying between the backplate/LCD and glass instead of the screen and frame of the phone, so this is the result. The LCD is incredibly delicate and when damaged like this, replacement is the only option.
Indeed Mr. Liam is 100% correct. I installed the new screen assembly and the phone is back to normal. Thank you for the assistance it’s like new now and my son is going to be very happy.
