Hi there, I recently purchased a mac listed as spares/repairs. The mac when shipped had no charger, ssd and a waterdamged battery. All of which I have now replaced. Unfortunately when I powered it on for the first time, I realised the screen is also gone. Looking at replacements online cost anywhere between 400 to as much as a 1000. I only paid 300 for the laptop itself, 550 altogether with replacement parts. The glass panal that covers the screen is intact. So my question is there anywhere to find a cheeper part? Or is there anyway to rebuild the screen behind the glass without buying a completely new module? Or should I pack it in now and try to recoup my loss? Any input/feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
Unfortunately liquid damaged devices just aren’t worth repairing unless you’re trying to get data. No matter how thorough you are, there’s always going to be the issue of “when is something else going to fail?”
