Hi. I’ve just replaced the screen/lcd on iPhone 6. Screen worked on testing before and after replacing but it’s black after I fully secure the screen and power on. I haven’t put the screws in the wrong place and I’m confused by it working when open then black when closed. Please help
Hey there Jamie! This can be caused by two things: The connectors are becoming unseated while you close the display.The display has faulty cables that don’t like being bent. In the first case, I recommend opening your phone up, laying the cables as flat as possible, and place the display bracket and screw them while flat. That should hold them in while you fold the cables over. If that doesn’t work, you probably have a faulty screen, and you should seek replacement.
