I just noticed that my 5C’s screen popped out of the plastic chassis on the top right corner. The phone was put in an Otter Box by the salesman the day I bought it and it was never dropped seriously (from my lap on a carpet once or twice, but no more than that). I’ve read somewhere that putting it on a flat surface and pressing on the back until it clicks back into place might work, but I’m scared it could break something, especially if it’s battery problem (like some macbooks I’ve seen) What do you think?
Do not click back into place have had people do that and break screens then come to me looking new ones.. The screen needs opened up and screen placed back in frame correctly
I did my research on this and stumble upon this forum where they suggest to press hard the back of the phone on a flat surface which I did without hesitation and presto! it worked! my phone working fine as if nothing has happened to it.
Today I drop my iPhone 5c on the stairs and the top right corner of the screen starting to pop out. So I pressed on it with my thumbs and now it’s perfectly fine!! It’s still works great and nothing is wrong with it..
This happened to me today I put my phone on flat surface pressed hard and click! It worked! Yay!!!
it should pop back in, however i have seen ones that went in for a screen repair before and a rogue loose screw (usually the long one for the LCD shield) would have worked its way out and into a crevice at the top right corner, thus preventing it pushing back in. There is a chance that by putting pressure on it that it may crack but usually they are fine . i always open them up first to check but i understand everyone can not do that
Hey guys, Yesterday I had dropped my iPhone 6 in concrete floor so hard with strong bumper case around the mobile. Bumper case had protected my iPhone by observing all the major impacts though side of the screen has popped out little. I just pushed it back softly. Now my iPhone is working fine without any issues or heat. It was very little pop out so without second though pushed it back. Others pls be careful depending on the situation you come across.
The battery is inflating because u are maybe charging it to much that is why it’s only in that one spot
If you would attempt to push on the screen to get in back into place, you are risking cracking the screen or even breaking the clips that hold the screen to the frame. It is best if you remove the two screws flanking each side of the lightning port and open the phone up and PROPERLY seat the screen as it originally was. Also take some time to ensure the battery has not expanded. Hope it helps!
Hi my iPhone did the same thing tonight I was so mad for about 4 hours and then I was like push what do I have to loose so I flipped my phone over held bother my hands and squeezed as hard as I could ad. It popped back into place
It might be because of swelling of battery, whatever, Apply some super-sticky adhesive in market and stick it,Be careful while applying..Make sure you use only a tiny drop. This did the job for me.
I had my screen repaired due to dropping it in a mop bucket and I took it to be repaired at the phone shop and ever since my screen has been popping up and I just don’t want it to break? What shall I do?
Just did what is said here - put on the flat surface on a len’s cloth, and pressed hard, it clicked back to the case. Thanks a lot. - Yun
i dropped my iphone 5s and the top left corner popped out but it popped back into place just fine. should i be worried it will happen again??
the 5c’s chassis is quite flexible so it should pop back in fine, all other models require you to remove the screen and re seat it properly.
Dropped phone and upper left screen came out of the case (not Otter Box) and I took the suggestion of putting it on a dish cloth (face down) and pressed on it and it snapped back in to place…no problems!
On the left bottom corner of my Samsung galaxy s5 is popping out. Everytime I like press down on it you can hear a click what do I do?
Hi I dropped my iPhone 5c (back down) on the hard floor and thought it was fine until I realised the left hand corner had popped out . I’ve heard that popping it back in has worked for a lot of people but I’m not sure weather I should just go to my local phone repair shop and get them to do it properly ,for free . However until then my screen is at risk of getting damaged because its sticking out . What do I do ?
Mine has done a similar thing except i have white stripes on the right side of my screen and ive lost touch across the whole screen
Hi, my iPhone 5c screen has popped out from throwing it around and I don’t think pushing it back in is going to work. But I really not that concerned for my phone still works. I just pushed my phone screen back in it made a nice click and it works!!! So stuff you expensive repairs.
If your battery is good just put your phone on the desk the back facing u and just push. It will click and work.
