Hello! I have a Dell XPS 13” 9343, and when I move certain windows around, it creates screen issues in the corners. I’m not sure whether this is a hardware issue or a software issue, but I assume this is a software issue since I have been running the JScreenFix tool on my computer for multiple days. If anyone could offer any insight, that would be amazing. Thank you for your help! Chris
Hi @teslapuggalotsx , Have you got the latest video drivers installed, you didn’t say? Click on Category > Video to see the version number. To see the version number of the video driver already installed, right click the Windows Start button on the left side of the Taskbar and select the Device Manager link. When in Device Manager > Display Adapters > right click Intel HD4600 adapter entry > Properties > Driver tab and find the driver version. Try starting the laptop in safe mode and check. The screen will look different as only generic Windows drivers are loaded and not the hardware specific drivers. Also no startup programs will be loaded either so if one were interfering and causing the problem that aspect will be eliminated. If it still occurs in safe mode it may be a hardware problem. Here’s the service manual for the laptop. Go to p.53 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove / replace the display assembly. This will allow you to check the video cable connections at both ends to make sure that they are both securely connected and also to replace the LCD panel if it is deemed to be the problem.
