my screen has some issues interlacing when starting up and at the logon in screen it shows this:
i also get a videocontroller error when i run AHT. it displays fine on the external monitor.
fixed it with a new lvds cable
AHT knows what it knows… so you have a video controller hardware issue. On laptops these are not DIY replace/repairable. If you have Applecare use it… if not you’re looking at a DIY replacement of the logic board (advanced DIY). If this answer was helpful please remember to mark it accepted.
Its the screen, it looks as if it had an excessive amount of pressure put on it. Hope this helps, John H, Laney
