Hello my iPhone felt down ( very good one) when I got it the screen was ok when I try to unlock the screen through side button, it unlocks but screen is irresponsive to touch I can’t touch for like a one minute after several trails of pushing the side button to open and close the screen finally it responds and then touch screen becomes perfect and fast until I lock the screen again I tried to update the phone force locking it , tried removing screen protectors but nothing but it seems like a hardware issue somehow because it started after the fall immediately I called someone to fix it ( no apple store in my area) he suggested to replace the screen, and I don’t think I will need to change the screen , As it looks intact and eventually responds very good maybe just to get it removed and placed again ?! now few times a day the problem is not there but most of time it’s there

You most likely dislodged the touch connector. Easy fix, but you will need to tools to open the phone, disconnect the battery connector (always do this first), and then disconnect and reconnect the screen connector tabs. Here is the iFixit guide: iPhone X Screen Replacement Complete up to step 20 then do everything in reverse.

Sounds like a bad screen to me. I’m guessing you’ve tried reseating the screen connections?

Had the same issue… reboot using this method. Fixed it.
