Chosen Solution
After replacing the battery my screen stayed black. Once I had reconnected the display once again three vertical lines apeared upon powering the phone on. The phone vibrates when I turn on the silent mode, but apart from the lines the screen stays black. Do you know where the problem lies?
#1/ It is most probably a damaged screen. You damaged the flat cabled while disconnecting and reconnecting the screen cables. Other possibilities: #2/ Improperly seated screen (try to disconnect then reconnect); #3/ Damage to the LCD connector on the board, or to components around the LCD connector. If reseating the connectors as per #2 doesn’t solve it, try a known good screen to see if it is #1 or #3. My money is on #1 and a known good screen should be ok, provided you don’t also damage it during installation.
