Chosen Solution
Have had this tv for some time i cant find manuals for it anywhere. Not even here. The screen has slowy be darking over the past 2 years. Now its to dim to watch! Any suggestions as to what it could be or a point in the right direction as to a manual or parts schematic ! Thanks!!
@undergun it does sound like you are having a backlight issue. This could be caused by a failing inverter as well as other things. You do need to tell us what exact model your TV is. The other things you want to consider is to remove the back on your TV and take plenty of good pictures of the board and post those with your question. Use this guide for that. It will allow us to see what you see. Update (01/22/2017) @undergun take another picture of the area with the caps on the power board. From the one attached it looks like some of those caps have failed. Of course, I could be wrong and my old eyes may be failing me more:-)
