I have an iphone 6S, recently replaced the screen (smashed) and battery. Ever since the screen and home button continue to freeze (not all the time, but often enough to make it intensely frustrating). As the on/off button also doesn’t work, I have to wait until the time out powers down the screen before I can try again. Also, the scrolling function and any typing is very sticky most of the time - I often cannot type out what I want to. I have tried full factory resets etc, both through itunes and just wiping my phone. I have held down the home button and on off button until it resets. None of this has made a difference. All software is up to date. I have returned to the repairer, who was happy to replace the screen, however, when he ran diagnostics said they were working fine and given that the home button and on/off button also freeze that it is not actually the screen being the problem. Does anyone know what this is or what I can do???? I’m ready to throw it at a wall it is so frustrating to use, but unfortunately I’m not in a position to upgrade my phone at the moment.

Hi Emma The problem is that when the battery is changed, the flex of the power button is damaged (it passes under the battery and if you have no experience it can be broken) and the problem with the home button is that changing the screen will damage the flex of the home button or the extension button (flex under the LCD panel). Also a hardreset would be good but not restore the copy, try the terminal first and if it works well, then restore. If this happened after the repair, they should repair it without any excuse. All damages are related to those repairs. You can configure the assistive touch to use it as a button.

If you have a Pc, make a full backup of your data with iTunes and then just restore the iPhone to factory settings. That’s the fastest and easiest way to understand if it’s a hardware or software issue. If problem persists, something was damaged in the logic board and needs to be taken care on the hardware side. If things get back to normal, that’s it, just a glitch.

Hi @ekhp , Did you go to an Apple store ? Of course who does this they don’t tell you thats service fault . I done some research and find , you never use alchol in cleanıng because thats harmful for color of screen and phone .( some videos says use alchol but you never! ) Best choise is go offical service or Apple Store .
