The screen has begun to flicker after being turned on for a while (time varies, can be around 2 mins, 5 mins, 10 mins or 20 mins before it starts flickering). At first it flickers only at the bottom of the screen and gives the appearance of the bottom quarter of the screen jumping up and down. Then after a while (a further 3-30 mins) it stops doing that and the entire screen just flickers occasionally. It even flickers during software updates. Rebooting and resetting does not prevent it flickering again a few minutes after it restarts. Doesn’t flicker in the Lock Screen! iPhone 6 is still in new condition, has had very little use. I’ve never got the phone wet or dropped it, ever (and its in a silicon case). The iPhone is original, no replacement battery, buttons or broken screen, nothing has ever been replaced. The only addition is a Gorilla-Glass that came with the case. Everything works fine except the fingerprint sensor (that stopped some time before the flickering started). There have been 2 recent software updates (including 11.4.1 today) and they didn’t help either. Pressing and twisting pressure on the screen doesn’t do anything at all (not better, not worse). Is this a common problem with iPhone 6? Any helpful suggestions? Hit it with a big hammer..? ;-)

The first thing to suspect,,,and replace is the screen assembly. This is easy to do yourself by following this guide. It sounds like you have taken great care of your device but the fact that your TouchID failed in the past is indicative that something…something…happened to your phone. No matter how much we care for them, these devices aren’t infallible.
