Hey! I have a mid-2010 MacBook Pro (15"). A few weeks ago my screen began flickering green where certain colours are displayed on the monitor. I have included a link to a picture of this to better describe my problem. This occurs off and on. One thing I noticed is that if I restart my computer as soon as it occurs, the problem will go away once the computer starts back up. If the problem occurs while my computer is in sleep-mode, it will stay for a few days before going away. I find this very strange. Any ideas? Do you have an external monitor? See if the problem is present on it. Hopefully it won’t be. If that is the case we have narrowed the problem down to the display and/or the LVDS cable and the connection to the logic board. Follow this IFIXIT guide MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Mid 2010 Display Replacement. For now lets go upto Step 6 Disconnecting the battery. Then, jump to Step 15 carefully disconnect the LVDS cable and inspect it and the connector if there any corrosion or staining on the logic board. Use some Isopropyl alcohol and a small brush to clean things up. Reconnected things back up and see if the problem is still present. Let us know how it goes - Good Luck!
