Hello, I have a MacBook Pro 2012, I’m facing a display problem. The screen hangs and starts getting whiter. During the day this occurs several times. When I give a touch it returns to normal and it often repeatedly happens. I’m guessing it’s some bad contact between the screen and the board. Has anyone ever faced anything like that? Heres a video clip showing it: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ucorlg1y8a02c1… Any suggestion?

Within the lid is a circuit board which converts the LVDS signal from the main logic board to one the LCD can handle. This board is often called the T-CON. Something on it is loosing its connection or is failing. Sadly, this is not something one normally fixes, but instead just replace the LCD panel or the full display assembly. Here’s the IFIXIT guide to replace the full assembly MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2012 Display Replacement and the needed part MacBook Pro 13" Unibody (Mid 2012) Display Assembly. The other option in just replacing the LCD panel is a bit more work.
