iPhone 6s plus, I replace a cracked screen by purchasing the aftermarket kit from ifixit. The repair went without a hitch since I was following the disassembly guide. The replacement screen displays the correct colors and is perfect. However, during calls, the screen goes dark as if the sensor on the very top of the screen is being blocked. Did I do something wrong or is my replacement unit the issue?
You may have damaged or incorrectly installed the Front Camera/Sensor flex, which contains the proximity sensor. You should go back through this guide to double check your work.
Have either of you installed a screen protector or left the plastic protection on that came with the new screen? If so try removing it.
