I’ve replaced the logic board, which did fix the problem with the ram coming unseated frequently. However, I am still having this problem where touching the left front (closest to me if the computer is open & facing me) quadrant of the lower case causes the screen glitch with barcodes then the system freezes & either auto-reboots or must be manually turned off & restarted. Any thoughts? I was considering trying to construct a strong, secondary bottom case that attaches at the corners & gives a 1/2" gap to avoid touching that spot, but if someone knows what’s causing this, I would much rather fix the problem! Thanks in advance for your help!
I’m suspecting you have a pinched cable here! Review this IFIXIT guide: MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2012 Logic Board Replacement Jump down to Step17 note the location of the display cable as well as the parts. When you press on the case you are pinching it!
