So my partner dropped her phone down the toilet and thous the device now has water damage. We done the usual, left it a good few days in a warm space in some rice and hey presto it came good other than a screen glitch and draining the battery. Now I’ve had a good few iPhone device apart in my time and replaced components but I was looking for suggestions before doing anything with the iPhone 6. I’m guessing a new battery is a given for the draining problem but any suggests on the glitch? It appears to happen when the battery is very low or when the device is cold.

Take out the logic board and follow this guide to clean it: Electronics Water Damage What do you mean by glitch? Is it lines, dark/light spots, etc.

It is real,I accedantly dropped my 6s iPhone in the shower and it was a couples of hours in rice and the screening glitch stopped and my phone went back to normal

I have left my phone in the bathroom while taking a shower. Will the moisture from the heat cause water damage? Ever since my phone has been glitching such as, going black (screen will turn black but the phone isn’t fully turned off), freeze, go to the homescreen when I’m browsing apps. This has been happening for a couple of months. Went to some phone repair shops and they just said it was the battery? Is this false or true? Thanks.

This exact thing happened to me. After I got it out of the toilet, it started glitching with lines going up and down the screen. I put it in rice and left it there for a couple of days , and came back to it still not working. A day later I just gave up on trying to fix the phone myself and went to a specialist. He fixed the water damage and got the stuck rice out of the charger hole! I definitely recommend going to a repair place if all else doesn’t work (even though going to a repair place costs a fortune).

Okay so I have a iPhone 6s and I went to camp. When I washed my hands I had a pipecleaner bracelet on and I accidentally put it on my phone in my lunch box when I took it off. It dropped water all over my phone and when I finally realized it (5 minutes later) my phone did the “You need to charge me” signal. So I thought it was okay. When I got home and charged it I tried to turn it on and it started glitching with a blue line running across the screen.. I was unable to take it apart so I just put it in rice for two days… when I checked it it wouldn’t even show me the “charge me” signal.. I am so dead…

So I went outside and I accidentally dropped my iphone into a bank of snow. I thought it was fine but the sound doesn’t work and Siri keeps popping up without me even touching my screen.. help.

(iPhone 7plus ) My phone accidentally fell in a puddle of water and now it has a long white line across the bottom and the left side of my screen is cloudy and gray , also it’s glitching too . What should I do?

so 2 days ago my baby threw up on me while he was asleep. i thought he only threw up on me but when i got up i saw that it also got on my iphone 6s plus. i picked it up as soon as i saw it and after a few minutes, everything started messing up. the speaker no longer works, the side button was not working nor the screen. the screen completly lost its touch. i cant use it anymore. i put it in rice for 2 days and now the side button works. the screen works sometimes but it freezes and wont let me use it. the speaker still doesnt work. what can be the problem? is it even worth replacing the damaged pieces and what should i fix? im thinking of maybe getting a new screen replacement but idk if that will solve the screen problem. please help!
