I split a small amount of water on the keyboard. Machine boots up but nothing is showing on the screen. Took it in for repair, they replaced the screen, but it still doesn’t work. If ax external monitor is plugged in the external monitor works fine. Shop advice is to buy a new computer! Is it possible to fix this? It is an older model but has very god spec and replacement looks around £2,500 (groan) UPDATE Hi Dan, You are amazing! Yes, shining a light through the Apple Logo shows a faint image of the screen. You might have not needed the replacement display! Depending on your exact model you might have only needed to replace the fuse link that powers the backlight. Do this shine a flashlight though the Apple logo, do you see a faint image of your desktop and its icons? If you do thats what is likely needed.
