I recently replaced my broken iPhone 6 screen with an ifixit screen. It worked well for a few weeks but then it started to freeze and fade to purple and then black. The phone will still lock and when the lock button is pressed it will come back normal sometimes but not every time. Seems to be happening more frequently as time goes on. It hasn’t suffered any damage since replacement.
It could be a defective screen. Most replacement screens will fail in the first few weeks if there is anything inherently wrong with them. No worries though, iFixit stands behind their products, just contact support to see what they can do for you. If you still have the original cracked screen, you could re-install it to confirm if the issue is with the replacement screen or not.
